Manuka Health's MGO™ Active Manuka Honey is labelled based on the minimum Methylglyoxal content (mg/kg) it contains. As Methylglyoxal is the active compound directly responsible for the antibacterial activity of Manuka honey, the higher the Methylglyoxal content of MGO™ Manuka Honey, the stronger the antibacterial activity.
The antibacterial activity means these honeys can be eaten for digestive health and ailments, or applied topically for the healing of wounds and infections - including antibiotic resistant bacteria such as MRSA.
Use
The Manuka Health MGO Manuka Honeys can be taken internally for digestive health, or applied externally to treat wounds and infections.
